Transience

£125.00
sold out

Transience is about the ebb and flow of the epic human journey from conception, through the present and into the vastness of the unknown future. It is essentially about consciousness and like consciousness it is not linear. It engages through the juxtaposition of ideas and seemingly unrelated images, sequenced to create a narrative that poses questions about nature, our capabilities, vulnerabilities and temporal existence. Book includes essays and poems.

In the author’s words: What drove me to undertake this work is an appreciation of the photographic medium’s relation to art and abstract and conceptual artists to visualise the temporal and abstract nature of our existence and the meanings and associations of small and big things and phenomena

Handmade aluminium covers front and back, and fabric spine

Will age and tarnish with use.

140 pages

25 x 21 cm

Limited edition of six

Self-published 2019
